Texas Tallow Products wants everyone to be able to shop with us, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, screen magnifiers or other assistive tools.

Our goal

We are working to make texastallowproducts.com meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with disabilities.

What we have done so far

  • Reviewed our website with automated testing tools and keyboard-only checks in October 2026.
  • Turned pinch to zoom back on for phones.
  • Darkened the Go to Checkout button, our gold text and the light text on dark panels so they are easier to read.
  • Made the names and text in our Judge.me reviews section easier to read.
  • Gave each quick add and quick view button a spoken name that includes the product name.
  • Removed repeated picture descriptions from our homepage category tiles, and hid the large decorative word in our quiz section from screen readers.
  • Added a link to this statement in the footer of every page.

Known limitations

We know some parts of our website still need work. Here is what we are still fixing:

  • The quick add buttons on product cards can be reached with the Tab key while they are hidden.
  • On product pages, the sticky add to cart bar can be reached with the Tab key while it is hidden.
  • Some cart details are not marked up correctly for screen readers.
  • The moving brand banner has a markup problem for screen readers. It and the homepage video play on their own and cannot be paused.
  • Our homepage videos do not have captions yet.
  • The review carousel moves on its own.
  • The search results page has structure problems for screen readers.
  • Our homepage has no main heading, and some heading levels skip.
  • The header search box and the newsletter sign up box only show hint text instead of a lasting label.
  • Some buttons are announced with words that do not match what you see, such as the cart link and the newsletter button.
  • Some of our landing pages and promotions have not been fully reviewed yet.

Some features on our site come from outside companies, including Judge.me and Recharge. When we find a problem in one of those tools, we report it to the company that makes it and ask for a fix.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of our website is hard to use, please let us know. We will help you get what you need and work to fix the problem.

It helps if you tell us the page you were on and what happened. We will reply within 2 business days.
