Is beef tallow the same as lard?
No. Tallow is rendered from beef fat (cattle), while lard is rendered from pork fat. They have different fatty acid profiles and are separate ingredients. Texas Tallow Products uses 100% beef tallow.

Does beef tallow soap smell like beef?
No. Properly rendered tallow does not carry a strong scent. All fragrance in Texas Tallow Products soaps comes from pure essential oils — lemon, vanilla, eucalyptus, patchouli, or orange, depending on the variety. Unscented options are also available.
Is beef tallow soap good for sensitive skin?
Many people with sensitive or dry skin prefer beef tallow soap because it uses a short, simple ingredient list and does not contain synthetic detergents. All Texas Tallow Products bar soaps are free from parabens and synthetic fragrances.
Can beef tallow soap be used on the face?

What ingredients are in your soaps?
Our bar soaps are made with 100% pure beef tallow, olive oil, coconut oil, and lye. Each variety includes additional natural ingredients: white or French green clay, oatmeal, goat's milk, turmeric root, or red Moroccan clay, depending on the formula. Scented bars use pure essential oils only.
What sizes are the soap bars?
Each bar is 6 oz. Soaps are sold in packs of 2 bars or 4 bars.
Is beef tallow soap vegan?
No. Beef tallow is an animal-derived ingredient from cattle and is not vegan.

How do I use beef tallow lotion?

Whipped Tallow Balm
What is whipped tallow balm?
Whipped tallow balm is beef tallow that has been whipped to create a lighter, softer texture. It spreads more easily than a solid balm while still delivering concentrated, long-lasting moisture for dry areas like hands, elbows, knees, and feet.
How is whipped tallow balm different from tallow lotion?
Whipped tallow balm is thicker and more concentrated than lotion. It contains no water, making it richer and better suited for targeted application on very dry areas. Lotion is lighter and absorbs faster for all-over use.

What is beef tallow cream?
Beef tallow cream has a texture between a balm and a lotion — thicker than lotion but smoother than a firm balm. It is ideal for targeted moisture on hands, cuticles, lips, and elbows throughout the day.
