Magnesium is an essential mineral involved in normal muscle and nerve function. Sprays and oils often feel sticky or prickly. Here, magnesium chloride sits in a creamy tallow base, so it goes on smooth and stays comfortable.

Beef tallow is close to the oils your skin already makes, so it softens dry legs, heels and hands without a greasy film. We render it ourselves from cattle raised on our family ranch in Springtown, Texas.

Texas Tallow Products is the tallow side of a five-generation family ranch in Springtown, Texas. We raise the cattle, render the tallow and fill every jar ourselves, in small batches.
Before you order
Does it smell like beef?
No. Our tallow is rendered clean, and this lotion is unscented. Most people say it smells like nothing at all once it’s rubbed in.
Is it greasy?
No. It melts in within a minute or two and leaves skin soft, not slick. Arrowroot in the formula gives it a dry-touch finish, so you can get into bed right after.
Will it sting like magnesium spray?
Most people find it far gentler. The magnesium is carried in a creamy tallow base instead of a watery spray. If your skin is very sensitive, try a small spot first, and skip freshly shaved or broken skin.
How long does a 16 oz jar last?
Used nightly on legs and feet, four to six weeks for most people. Used on a few spots, it lasts months.
My jar arrived soft. Is it ruined?
No. Tallow can soften in summer heat on the way from Texas. Pop it in the fridge for an hour and it sets back up. If anything is off, message us and we’ll replace it.
