Kaolin clay is one of the mildest cosmetic clays. It absorbs excess oil and draws out pore buildup without dehydrating the skin. Lemon essential oil adds a bright, citrus lift that makes this the perfect morning bar. The tallow and olive oil base locks in hydration so skin stays soft after the rinse, not tight.

Tallow creates a harder, longer-lasting bar than vegetable oil soaps alone. Its oleic, palmitic, and stearic acid content closely mirrors your skin's natural sebum, so it rinses clean without stripping moisture or disrupting the skin barrier. Most conventional soap relies on palm kernel or coconut oil, which can over-strip. Tallow soap cleanses and conditions at the same time.

If the fresh lemon was as advertised, I would have fallen in love with it. I used to make my own soap and I made a really good lemon bar. The two bars that I received were pale in color and did not smell like lemon at all. Not only that, but it was almost crumbly. I collect different varieties of soap from several soap makers. It's what I geek out on. Haha. I wanted to like it, but I was far from pleased.

Mild scent, cleans my body well. However, the bar doesn’t last as long as I’d like for a $9 bar of soap. I have one more bar to use before I decide on using it further or not.
I am a super fan of anything and everything citrus, so I was totally stoked ordering the Fresh Lemon Tallow Soap and super excited for my order to arrive. Unfortunately with much regret I have to say, the expected lemon scent is lacking, barley noticeable. However that does not diminish the fact that Tallow Soap is amazing, with great lather to make your skin feel super soft. And there are many other soaps with stronger and different scents to choose from. Not everything can be perfect, but TEXAS TALLOW is coming pretty close to perfection.
