What a tallow cream is (and isn't)
Our creams are waterless formulas — tallow and shea butter structured with natural beeswax. The beeswax is the defining ingredient: it firms the texture and leaves a light occlusive layer that locks moisture onto the skin, which is what makes creams the right tool for targeted dryness — rough elbows and heels, wind-chapped patches, knuckles in winter — anywhere you want concentrated hydration that stays put. How to judge one
- Count the ingredients. A waterless cream needs three or four: tallow, a butter, beeswax, maybe an oil. Scent should be natural (essential oils) or absent.
- Ask where the tallow is from. As always, the base fat is the product. Traceable beats commodity.
- Match the scent to the use — or skip it. Essential oils bring character but fragrance-sensitive skin wants none.
